On July 9 2005 the first wedding ceremony was realized in Park of Roses – the
reverent place of Lidice Memorial. Both partners: Miss Michaela Nová and Mr.Martin
Seget said their common " YES ” and changed their wedding rings. During this
occasion they symbolically planted a rose shrub there and by this act they joined the
rose donators.
The open-air wedding ceremony in The Rose Garden can offer an attractive
surrounding in the middle of blossoming roses (23 thousand shrubs of 200 kinds from
the whole world) from the mid June until the end of September. Planting of the rose
represents the honour of the memory of the shot dead Lidice inhabitants in 1942 and
also the remembrance of this significant day for the married couple. Both partners
receive a commemorative card as a gift from Lidice.

Lidice Memorial in co-operation with Local Authority can offer a complete wedding
ceremony arrangement including flower decoration as well as the sound arrangement
and of course the suitable roses for planting.
According to the wish of wedding–guests it is possible to arrange the wedding
banquet in the pleasant Lidice Gallery Restaurant or in the lovely Lidice Gallery
Garden.
