The Rose garden- a symbolic place for taking a rest and for wedding ceremonies

The Rose garden was established under the authority of an appeal from Sir Barnett Stross. The largest amount of roses was at that time donated by florists from Great Britain.

It can be found in-between the original and the new Lidice village and its area is 3,5ha. It contains more than 23 thousand of rose bushes of 199 kinds.

The garden in the present-day appearance was introduced in 2001-2002. The new rose bushes were gained both from Czech republic and abroad based on the appeal "Rose for Lidice". Students from Czech republic and Germany took a notable share in garden renewal.
